Ginger Pickle

Ingredients:
2 cups ginger-shredded fine
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp salt to taste
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tbsp chilli powder or to taste
1 tsp asafoetida powder

Method:
Mix all the ingredients and cook over high heat.

When it comes to a boil, lower the heat and simmer for a minute or so.

Store in a clean jar.
